Piers, Docks, Wharves ...

... quay, jetty, landing place, anchorage, slip, berth, etc. are all interesting places to be, to see and to photograph -- places where some sort of manmade structure intersects water and sky.   

There must be a story contained in the photo below but I don't know the plot.  It probably begins with Hurricane Katrina so it would not have a happy ending.
