The Stained Glass Windows of Nativity Cathedral

Nestled among the many jewels of the Mississippi Gulf Coast lies the diamond – that of the Nativity Cathedral in Biloxi.

Upon entering through the Church’s huge doors one is immediately taken aback by the gorgeous stained glass windows. With morning light or evening light you are surrounded by delightful rich colors.

One parishioner commented that this is the only church where people come early for celebrations such as weddings or baptisms or sad times – funerals. They come to take part in something special and they realized they are somewhere special. Maybe it is the old world artisan they admire or maybe it truly is a place connected to heaven.

When the light comes shining through the windows and plays and dances in the faces of the figures in the windows, a person waits. Waits for what? Just waits.
